Job Summary
A Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales, marketing, financial and structural strategies in stores across a group of territories. Duties include visiting stores to meet with employees, communicating about sales goals and expectations and gathering research about their target market.
Job Responsibilities
1. Regional Sales Management and Development:
• Set sales targets and develop strategic plans to achieve those targets within the assigned region.
• Analyze sales and market data to identify opportunities and challenges, and adjust business plans accordingly.
• Market and Competitor Analysis: Gather information on market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to provide strategic recommendations.
• Propose and implement competitive pricing strategies and effective promotional programs to maximize revenue and profit.
• Budget Planning and Control: Develop the regional operating budget and manage costs to ensure efficiency.
2. Distributor Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors in the region. Ensure distributors operate efficiently, comply with company policies, and meet distribution targets.
• Develop joint business plans with distributors to ensure assigned sales targets are achieved.
3. Risk Management and Market Adaptability:
• Assess and manage risks related to the market and competitors, and implement flexible solutions to adapt to market changes.
4. Sales Team Building and Management:
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop Area Sales Managers (ASMs) and subordinate staff. Ensure the team fully understands the products, sales processes, and company goals.
• Develop successor pipelines within the team.
5. Ensure Compliance with Policies and Regulations:
Ensure all business activities in the region comply with company policies and applicable legal regulations.

Other requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher.
2. At least 5 years of experience as a Regional Sales Manager in the FMCG industry.
3. Depth understanding of the FMCG market and proven experience in building a distributor network in the Central region.
