Job Summary
The Consumer Innovation Center Manager in the Consumer Innovation Center (CIC) plays a vital role in driving category-specific product innovation by gathering insights, conducting market research, and managing the product lifecycle. This role requires a consumer-centric approach, working closely with stakeholders to develop impactful product ideas and ensure operational excellence. The Category Manager is also responsible for engaging directly with consumers and stakeholders to align product innovation with market needs.
Job Responsibilities
'1. Information Gathering and Market Research
Conduct in-depth research on market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive products.
Collaborate with the Consumer Insights team to analyze survey results and identify unmet consumer needs.
Attend industry fairs and events to stay updated on category innovations and identify emerging trends.
Conduct competitor analysis to benchmark product offerings and pricing strategies
Translate market data into actionable insights for product development.
2. Field Work with Consumers
Engage directly with consumers through in-field research, in-store recruitment, and focus groups.
Collect feedback during product testing and sampling to refine product ideas.
Build relationships with key consumer segments to foster loyalty and trust.
3. Product Development
Generate innovative product ideas based on research and consumer input.
Collaborate with the Consumer Technical Insights team and R&D to create prototypes and ensure technical feasibility.
Lead the ideation-to-launch process, ensuring alignment with category goals.
4. Product Lifecycle Management
Manage the full lifecycle of products, from initial concept to market launch.
Continuously monitor product performance and make recommendations for improvement or updates.
5. Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams, including Marketing, R&D, and WinCommerce.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
Work closely with WinCommerce to organize in-store testing and feedback collection.
