Job Summary
The Customer Development Finance Manager is responsible for managing and controlling monthly sales expenses while ensuring accurate financial records and reporting. This role includes conducting variance analysis, maintaining a centralized data dashboard for commercial expenses, and implementing validation procedures for sales-related documents. Ideal candidates should possess a strong understanding of finance principles, familiarity with the FMCG market, and practical knowledge of data analytics tools such as Power BI.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with the business partners and management accounting team (BBF) to control monthly landing of sales expense, including Salesforce, Trading Terms, Visibility, Trade Promotion, Discounts and other commercial activities initiated by Sales or Trade Marketing team
Perform closing tasks for Salesforce, Trading Terms, Visibility, Trade Promotion, Discounts and other commercial activities to ensure accurate financial records and reporting.
Include pertinent review, control of commercial proposal in terms of accounting impacts, develop efficient closing processes to meet both financial and management accounting timeline.
Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between planned budgets and actual results for Salesforce, Trading Terms, and Visibility.
Design and maintain a centralized data repository or dashboard for commercial expenses, combining with non-financial data and ratios for commercial analysis
Implement robust validation procedures for payment and reimbursement documents associated with sales expenses. Establish strict documentation requirements and approval matrices to ensure data accuracy and control.
Prepare sales reports, including monthly rolling forecast (MUF). Ensure that the reports are submitted within deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy.
Ensure proper explanation and documentation of tax and auditing-related documents and details pertaining to promotion costs, display costs, discount costs, trade terms, and indirect sales.
Other ad-hoc analysis, including building business case or Channel P&L as assigned by superior.
Other requirements:
- Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles, with experience in controlling cost and
- Familiarity with the FMCG market and experience working in large multinational companies.
- Practical knowledge with Power BI, Power Query or other data analytics tool
